Hi again. Quite a bit has happened since my last entry...

Bill started classes last week and so far things are going well. It is a big adjustment going from teaching large classes of over 100 students to now teach classes of about 30. Overall he likes the personal attention he can give but it does mean he has to alter his teaching style. He will get into a groove in no time though and then things will flow more smoothly for him. He is officially finished with his PhD and is now Dr. Cunion -- we are so relieved!! He worked so hard to get to this point and I am so proud of him. He won't actually walk through until spring but his diploma will arrive in the mail next month.

Bill's sister Robyn had her baby -- Samuel Alexander Lori was born on August 24, 2003 at 11:30pm weighing 7lbs 14oz and measuring 20 inches long. He is a cutie pie and mother and baby are both healthy! We went to see him in the hospital on the 25th and seemed to have a very sweet personality already. He likes to cuddle.

Will is doing well. He is as active and crazy as ever. He is your typical rough and tough boy. He likes to rough house with his Daddy and Uncles and is never still. This child is in constant motion. He sprints from one end of the house to the other all day--stopping briefly to grab a book off his shelf and sit and "read" it for about 2 minutes then he is off to the races again. He enjoys looking at books and pretending to read. It is precious. He actually babbles as if he were trying to read.

We just got back from visiting my folks in PA and had a wonderful weekend. We went to the fanciest restaraunt I have ever been to -- wait, almost the fanciest: Bill and I went to a 5 star restaraunt on our honeymoon and the meal for the 2 of us was $300- it was spectacular--but this restaraunt was almost as nice. It was 5 stars too and was downtown Pittsburgh on the 10th floor of a building and our table overlooked the city & river. It was a gorgeous view. There were 10 of us that my folks took (counting Will) and we really had a great time. Bill had escargo for the first time & loved it -- I've had it before and love it. And the deserts were heavenly. It was quite an event and everyone had a wonderful time. Will really behaved himself well. I was very proud. He sat in a highchair right up to the table and nibbled on a fruit plate. We believe in taking him where we go because we want him to learn that there are times when you have to behave and be still and quiet. He was great! Everyone in my family was there except Johnny- he goes to a get-together with his friends on labor day weekend every year. In case you are trying to do the math, the 2 extra people are my folks best friends the Shinabery's from Concord, OH. They came to visit too.

Will had a great time playing with my folks black lab, Jack, all weekend. Jack LOVES Will and follows him everywhere. He is very protective of him. Will kept trying to climb the stairs and Jack would walk up the stairs in front of him and block his path so Will couldn't climb--Jack doesn't like Will to be on the stairs. He was there when Will fell down the stairs at my folks several months ago and ever since then Jack is terrified of Will being on the stairs. It is so cute. They are best buddies.

Well, not too much else going on. I am doing really well. I am adjusting to my new leg but still don't completely trust it. I'm getting there though. I went to the NEC golf tournament in Akron a few weeks ago and did quite well walking on the hilly course. My next set of scans and appts are next week: the 10th. I will let you know how they go although I feel in my hear that the tests will come back clean again. I have faith.

Take care.
