So...we finally got everything finalized with both houses and we close on both next week. Now ALL I have left do to is finish packing this house - yuck! Last Friday we had a "walk through" at the new house with the previous owners. They wanted to show us some of the details (like the in-ground sprinkler system for example) so we wouldn't have to "figure them out" on our own. It was actually really informative and I am even more excited than before to get moved in.

O.K. now for a short, but funny, story. First of all...I have noticed since I lost my leg that people have no reservations about asking really blunt questions: "what happened to your leg?" is my favorite (I swear I get asked that at LEAST ones a week). Well, today I think I had the bluntest comment yet...I just had to laugh inside. Will and I went to WalMart to pick up a few things. Since it was only 8:30am all of the cart corrals in the parking lot were still empty so I had to carry him inside. As you all know WalMart employs "greeters" - although most of the time the ones in Athens are so busy talking to each other that not only do they not greet you but you actually have to interupt them to get a cart - anyways...this morning I went walking in with Will and one of the ladies says: "Hey fella. You are an awfully big boy for poor mom to have to carry, especially with a bum leg." I kid you not...she actually said I had a "bum leg" Maybe I missed the bulletin... is that the new PC term for artifical leg?

On a similar note...I am in the process of getting a new leg. I am finally going to get the
C-Leg that I have told most of you so much about. My prosthetist is starting the process of getting it approved by my insurance company. I hope to have it within the next month or two! I am so excited!!

Well, that's all for now. Take care!
