Not much going on today. Will and I just hung out. Tomorrow one of my old college roommates, Lisa Gavin, and her fiance, Brion O' Toole, will be arriving for the weekend. It should be a lot of fun!! Bill has just informed me that I should rename this website to "Cure for Insomnia" because it is so boring. He has just stated that I have more opinions than anyone he has ever met but I don't share them...apparently updates about Will aren't exciting enough for him. I will try to spice it up a little for him since I am in jeopardy of losing him as a reader:-) Here is my first opinion...Bill is a pain in the butt!! posted by Katie Cunion Friday, April 11, 2003
The past few days have been a whirlwind of activity. Will and I just arrived home in Athens after a long week of travel. After my stay in Chicago, Will and I stayed on at Bill's folk's house so I could do some "house-hunting." My mom & Bill's dad accompanied me Tuesday and Wednesday as we walked through almost 20 houses!! Tuesday ended with some disappointment. After looking at 8 houses there was only 1 that I would consider showing Bill & I wasn't even in "love" with that one. We headed back to the realtor's office at the end of the day and decided to broaden our search. We expanded the area to include North Canton. Wednesday morning we met with my realtor, Jose, who had lined up 10 houses for us to look at. I was hoping we would have better luck & we did! At the end of the day I had a handful to show Bill. I am very excited. Next Friday Bill, his Mom & I are going to walk through and probably make an offer on something!! This is all moving so fast. Speaking of moving fast...we have already recieved 2 offers on our house. The first one was really low, but I found out today that the reason was that the buyer intended to turn around and rent it out as an investment. We didn't even counter-offer that one. Then yesterday we received a second offer that was quite good. Only problem is that they want the offer contingent on the sale of their home by May 9th. So...if we excepted their offer and then they didn't sell their house by May 9th the offer would be void and we would be back to square one. My realtor advised me to counter with a higher $ amount plus no contingency agreement...now or nothing basically. He said they won't accept it but we don't really care because he said he is pretty sure he is going to sell our house this weekend. He has a lot of people interested! I can't believe my house has only been on the market 9 days and we have had so much "real" interest. Our only problem is going to be needing to move before the quarter is up...poor Bill...he'll be homeless:-) Will is doing well. He is walking quite a bit but only in short bursts -- 4 steps here, 3 steps there... He just needs to build his confidence a little. He was so excited to be back home last night. He loves visiting his Nana, Poppy, Grandma & Papa but he loves HIS house. I had agreed to watch little Isabelle (Will's little friend) every Thursday this quarter since her Daddy will be teaching a class. Today was our first attempt and it went well. You sure get tired after taking care of 2 toddlers for 5 hours, but all-in-all it went really well. I started off the morning with an Elmo movie since Isabelle was a little upset when her folk's left. Will and Isabelle just sat and watched for about 5 minutes when Will decided he was bored. He looks over at Isabelle and gets a huge smile on his face (you could see it behind the binky he had in his mouth) and then goes crawling over to her at Mock 10 speed. He yanks her binky out of her mouth and throws it across the room and then laughs! I told him "No, No" but before I could retrieve her binky he had taken his out of his mouth and crammed it in her mouth. He smiled then yanked it back out of her mouth and put it back in his. What a stinker. Isabelle was so mesmerized by Elmo that I don't think she even knew, or cared, what was going on. The rest of the day went fairly well. They both napped - although at different times so no free time for me; they both ate - although when Isabelle ate Will was playing and she wasn't too thrilled about that; they were both changed - a few times...HOW DO PEOPLE WITH TWINS DO IT???? Luckily Will and Isabelle are both good babies who play well together! Next week I will definately do some video taping of the two of them:-) Not much else going on in our little world. I am just trying to stay sane with all that is going on...we'll see if I succeed! posted by Katie Cunion Thursday, April 10, 2003
Two entries in one day...WOW! I just wanted to share so very exciting news with all of you. Most of you probably already know, but...Bill's sister, Robyn, found out she is having a boy. She and her husband have decided to name him Samuel Alexander. Will is going to have a little Sammy to play with - they will only be about 18 months apart in age. posted by Katie Cunion Monday, April 07, 2003
Well...I had a wonderful time in Chicago. I was able to see Margie's office finally and meet some of her co-workers that I have heard so much about. We also did a lot of shopping and hanging out with her two best friends Deb & Shannon. It was so much fun. Saturday night was just the two of us and we went out to a really fancy dinner than on to a play. The play we saw, "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" was histerical. All -in-all I had a fabulous time and was very sad when I had to leave yesterday!! This was our first "Annual Sister's Weekend." I was so excited to see Will yesterday after being apart from him for several days. I really missed him a lot! That aspect of the trip was much harder than I had anticipated. Will, however, had a great time with his Nana & Poppy. They took him to sit on Easter Bunny's lap & he played with Jack (my folks HUGE black Lab) non-stop. No offers on the house yet but quite a few people have been looking at it. I will be looking at houses in Alliance tomorrow - I am so excited. I love looking at houses. Nothing else right now... posted by Katie Cunion Monday, April 07, 2003
