I arrived safely in Chicago last night. I am so glad that I decided at the last minute to go with Bill on his trip to Chicago. He is presenting a paper at a Political Science Conference this weekend and he asked me if I wanted to go along and spend the weekend with Margie. I am so glad I did. It is going to be so nice to just have a "sister's weekend," Margie and I never get to spend any time together just the two of us. Bill is staying at a hotel all weekend so it will truly be just me and Margie. FUN! She has all sorts of things planned for us! The down-side is...I already miss Will! I haven't been away from him for more than a few hours since I finished Chemo this past August. My mom and dad are watching him & I know he will have a great time.

I'll write more later and let you know how my trip is going.

Guess what everyone??? Will walked today!! Bill and I were both there when he did it. He has been getting really close now for a while and I was so afraid he would finally walk this weekend while my folks are watching him. I didn't want to miss it & I didn't. How exciting.

Unfortunately this isn't going to be one of my typical happy messages. One of my oldest and dearest friends was diagnosed with brain cancer 2 years ago and had surgery to remove the tumor. Due to the location, they were unable to remove the whole thing and had to leave a little behind. She has had to undergo Radiation and Chemotherapy to kill the tumor and stop it from growing. Recently her MRI showed that the tumor has grown back. It is inoperable! Please include Jennifer in your prayers.

Hello everyone! First of all...our house is listed online on our realtors website so take a look. He is a real go-getter. We already have someone coming to look at the house today, someone tomorrow and an open house on Sunday. I really hope it sells quickly.

We are heading to Massillon today. I have an appointment with my prosthetist due to a problem with my artifical foot. Here's what happened...in retrospect it is kind of funny but at the time I was not laughing. Last thursday evening I was trying to adjust my foot to accomadate a high heeled boot. You see I have an adjustable foot to allow me to wear different heel heights. I had just bought new boots to wear the next day to the Tim McGraw concert and wanted to try them on. I over extended the foot height and it locked!!! I was unable to put ANY shoe on. I panicked. The next morning I called a local prosthetist since mine is 3 hours away. They said they would squeeze me in. They were unable to do anything so they gave me a "loaner" foot. Sound funny right? The foot was a couple sizes smaller than my other foot because that was all this rinky-dink shop had in stock! So I have been walking around a tiny foot for a week! It is like when you get a flat and have to put the donut tire on...it looks ridiculous. Anyway...today I am finally going to see MY prosthetist so he can hopefully give me a better "loaner" foot for my big trip to Chicago this weekend.

Will and I just got home today from our trip to PA. We had a wonderful time. The Tim McGraw concert was AWESOME!! Margie & I had so much fun. He sang for 2 1/2 hours & really puts on a great show -- not to mention the fact that he is a total hottie:-) Our seats were fabulous - we were on the floor. There were these two drunk guys seated next to us, harmless but drunk, who kept trying to talk to us but we couldn't understand what they were saying. Then, the one next to me started to fall and he reached for me to steady himself and I quickly shrugged away so he missed my arm & he fell on his butt. I wasn't going to let him pull me down with him...it was histerical. Then, after the show was over, Margie & I were standing in line to buy t-shirts ($35/t-shirt...ridiculous) & when Margie went to squeeze by this guy his totally grabbed her butt & said: "nice ass." Margie walked on & he called after her: "meet me at the Marriott" which was across the street. Give me a break! Does he actually think that pinching a woman's toosh & then yelling for her to meet him at a hotel is really going to work? Loser!! Margie & I had a good laugh over the whole thing. It is amazing to me how smashed people get at concerts. The guys seated next to us were totally making fun of us because we were drinking pop. All-in-all it was a blast!!

Our realtor came today to walk through the house. He seems to think he'll have no trouble selling it. He is listing it at $114,900 and thinks he'll have no trouble getting $110,000. We are of course very pleased. The sign went up today and in a few days you will be able to see pictures of our house online. I will post a link when it is available.
