My mom has been here all week and we have been having a great time. She was able to go to "Lap-sit" at the library with Will and me on Tuesday & meet all of Will's friends. She had a blast watching him interact with all the other children. She is here helping me do some projects around the house in anticipation of putting it up for sale. So, Will has discovered "clapping" - and by that I mean being the object of the clapping. He loves it when you clap & cheer for him - his whole face lights up and he gets all excited...what a little ham!! Short entry today...sorry! posted by Katie Cunion Wednesday, March 19, 2003
Happy St. Patrick's Day eveyone! Will is wearing his Leprechaun outfit today that he received from his Auntie M and Uncle Jim last summer. They brought it back from Ireland for him. He looks adorable! Will is doing well. He has two teeth busting through the top gums so he has been a little ouchy lately, but this weather has sure cheered him up. He loves geing outside. Yesterday was a great day! The weather was wonderful so I took Will for a long walk. Since our neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks and is very hilly, we decided to walk around a nice neighborhood in town. Will loved it. We stopped by his friend's house, Isabelle, to say hi. It was a nice little break for me & then Will was ready to get moving again. After our walk we ran some errands then headed home. Will was exhausted so he took a nice long afternoon nap - something he doesn't usually do. Today is beautiful again. Our house painters were here this morning power washing the house to get it ready to paint. I picked out the color & they will start in a few days after the house is dry. Picking out a color when you know you are selling your house is hard because you have to try to think about what will be appealing to prospective buyers. Plus, the way a color looks on a 1 inch square is different than how it is going to look on your house. Hopefully I chose well. We'll see... Poor Bill - the painters said he needs to trim all of our hedges so they are 2 feet from the house - so they can paint. Also, the 10 tons of gravel gets delivered today & although they try to spread it a little, Bill will still have to rake it out. Sounds like a fun few days for Bill!! The three of us are excited because my Mom arrives today. She will be here all week helping me do some projects around the house to get it ready to show. But, I don't plan on the week being all work...if the weather cooperates we should be able to take Will to the park a few times & go on walks along the bike path. It should be a great week. Will finally discovered stairs. Bill went upstairs and Will decided to follow. It was adorable watching him struggle to climb the stairs - of course I was right behind him just in case. He made it up 4 stairs before Bill picked him up and told him what a good boy he was. I'll have to make sure the door to the upstairs stays closed now - not that he is ever out of my sight anyways - he is so curious that he requires constant supervision! That's all for now... posted by Katie Cunion Monday, March 17, 2003
