Praise God...I got good news today! My biopsy results came back benign. I have a Fibroadenoma which is the most common benign tumor in young women. Luckily, they can just be left alone...no surgery required. Thank you all for your prayers. It is such a relief to have all of these tests behind me and know that for the time being I am CANCER FREE!! I can't even believe that I am approaching my 1 year anniversary of the amputation. Some days it seems like I've been struggling with this for a lifetime, but on really good days it seems like the surgery was yesterday. Life is such an interesting ride!
Will and I arrived back home in Athens yesterday. Bill met us in the driveway as we pulled in...you have never seen such a happy baby. When Will saw Bill his whole face lit up and he just kept giving him hugs. He definitely missed his Daddy! Although Will and I had a wonderful time visiting family, it is always nice to get back home. Will has rebounded easily from the trip and is back on his schedule.
I contacted a realtor in Alliance today to start looking for a house. She is a friend of Bill's Mom and has been in the business for a long time. I am really excited about finding a new home. As soon as we get our house painted we will be putting it up for sale. I am hoping to get this done ASAP. Unfortunately the estimates I have received thus far have been a little too pricey for us. I'd try to do it myself -- you know me, Miss Do-It-Yourself -- but me on a ladder could be a disaster...I can barely handle stairs with this leg! I'm sure we'll find someone to do it!
