Before I start today's entry I would like to give a HUGE thanks to my wonderful brother in-law Jim. Jim was on the phone with me for probably 4 hours yesterday helping me with a major computer crisis. He's a true computer nerd (and I mean that in the nicest way Jim). To make a long story short...I had to completely strip my computer of everything and then install new software. I have a very old computer and it was not an easy task, but Jim was able to get the job done. Thanks Jim...I love you! This is actually a good lead in to my news...

Dude, I'm getting a Dell!!! Sorry...I couldn't resist. My mom and dad just bought me a new Dell desktop computer for my birthday(prompted by this recent crisis). I am so excited! Now I will actually be able to make these entries without the fear of my computer freezing up and wiping out what I've typed...trust me, it's happened before & I was not too thrilled. My new PC should arrive in about a week or so.

Now for the REALLY big news. Will pulled himself up to the standing position all by himself yesterday. This new development totally came from left field so I was stunned. For a little while now Will has been able to push himself up to the sitting position by himself, but whenever he has done it he has surprised himself...it's been unintentional. Well, two days ago he finally realized he could push himself up to the sitting position and started doing it constantly (he was very pleased with himself). Yesterday he finally started crawling. Not his usual "commando" crawl, but all the way up on his hands and knees. Then later that morning I was watching him practice crawling & sitting up & he all at once pulled himself up on his activity block. I was on the phone with my friend Joe when it happened and I probably hurt the poor guy's ears because I was so excited. Now he is pulling himself up on everything and is trying to walk. I think he'll be walking any day now.

Will is fussing so I have to go. I'll write more later. Love you all!

O.K...this weather is getting on my nerves. I have been trapped in this house since Friday! Talk about cabin fever!! The snow has stopped but the plows have yet to clear our street. For those of you who have been to our house you know that our house sits at the top of a pretty steep winding hill. Just last week Will and I were coming home from the library and it was snowing. When we got to our street we got stuck half way up the hill. The van's tires started spinning and we started sliding backwards. I almost freaked out! I had visions of us sliding over the edge and down the embankment. Luckily no one was behind us so I just kept pressing the gas & letting off until our tires caught hold and we slowly made it up the hill. That was with only a light covering of snow and we have oodles now so there is no way we are risking leaving until the plow/salt truck gets here. Will is starting to show the effects of being cooped up too long. He is use to getting out of the house at least every other day. If nothing else we head to WalMart to walk around. He likes the change in scenery and he is starting to get a little irritable with the monotony of his schedule.

On a positive note...I received an early birthday present from my big sis and her husband! Tickets to see Tim McGraw in concert on March 28th in Pittsburgh!!!! Anyone who knows me knows how unbelievably excited I am. Margie is going to take that Friday off and fly into Pittsburgh to take me to the show. We are going to have a blast. We always have so much fun when we are together...we are more than sisters...we are best friends!

Oh no...Will just woke up from his morning nap & he only slept for 1 hour. He usually sleeps for 2 - 3 hours. That can only mean one thing...it is going to be a long, crabby afternoon in the Cunion house.

Love you all!

O.K....I am really getting tired of all these anti-war protests. I am amazed at how many "intelligent" people say such stupid things. I hear people spouting off about "peace, not war." Peace for whom? Certainly not the people of Iraq. British Prime Minister Tony Blair said it best: "There will be no march for the victims of Saddam, no protests about the thousands of children that die needlessly every year under his rule, no righteous anger over the torture chambers which if he is left in power, will be left in being." Are we really willing to sit by and watch innocent people suffer? Forget for a minute that we are in danger...what about the people of Iraq?

I know what some of you are thinking...why Iraq? why now? when we have sat by with a blind eye to so many atrocities in the world. As my wise husband said: "This argument is inherently weak to me. It is like saying: 'We can't feed all the starving children of the world so why feed any.' " But if this still isn't enough for you then what about our safety? It is naive to believe that we are not in danger. September 11th was our alarm clock going off trying to wake us up as a nation. We cannot just hit the snooze button!

O.K...what is up with the new Michael Jackson interview that has been all over t.v. lately? I hope you are all as disturbed as I am. It is clear that Michael Jackson is in need of some serious psychological help. His obsession with children is anything but "beautiful" as he calls it. I don't care how much he denies it, it is clear that his relationships with these young boys is not right. He sleeps with them!! What kind of parent allows their child to spend the night with Michael Jackson in his bed? Forget that he is Michael Jackson for a second...what parent allows their son to spend the night in ANY grown man's bed? Anyone who honestly believes that there isn't something sexual going on is fooling themselves. Why isn't anyone stopping this behavior. You can read the testimony of a 13 year old boy who accused Michael Jackson of sexual molestation on the smoking gun. After reading that testimony I was convinced that the child's allegations were true. The detail of the testimony didn't read like a fabricated tale.

There were many things about this interview that were troubling. Michael Jackson clearly suffers from "Peter Pan Syndrome." He wants to remain a child. At one point in the interview he is asked about death and how he will be buried...he responds by saying he is never going to die. The problem is he sounded serious!

I am not even going to go into the bizare relationship he has with his children - well maybe a little: they are forced to wear masks in public, they are told they have no mother (since they were born only as a "gift" for Michael by a friend), their father is clearly disturbed.

I could go on and on about this interview. I would recommend watching it the next time it is on t.v. Let me know if you are as bothered by this honest look into Michael's strange life as I was.

Man do I hate winter! We heard that a major winter storm was heading our way & it hit hard on Friday. Bill came home early Friday in anticipation of the weather and we have been stuck ever since. They are telling us that we are suppose to get another 8-12 inches tonight & I sure hope they are wrong. Will has his 12 month check-up tomorrow and if I have to cancel it will take weeks to get back in. Weather permitting, Will and I will be heading to Nana & Poppy's Monday after his appointment. The drive to PA isn't bad, but traveling any distance with an active child is "interesting." Luckily Will is a pretty good traveler. We will be at my folks for a few days. My dad has some office work he needs my help with & I can always use a little extra cash. We will head home thursday & then get ready to head back out again Friday to Bill's folks for the weekend. We will be celebrating our niece's 9th birthday. Well, that's enough boring chit-chat for now. I love you all!
